Skincare for Mature Skin

Do you wish to reduce the first fine lines or even deeper wrinkles? Mature skin benefits greatly from rich anti-aging creams and firming active ingredients.

There is one thing all of our anti-wrinkle products have in common: They contain our unique Celumer Marine Extract. It offers a gentle combination of highly effective ingredients, which makes it easy to combine anti-aging benefits with a skincare routine tailored to your individual skin type.

Not all of us have one specific skin type that can easily fit into just one of these categories. That is why during the development of new DALTON products, we ensure that all of our products can be flexibly combined with each other to meet every skin’s individual needs.

  Q&A: Your Questions

Does oily skin need hydration?

Answer: Yes, absolutely! Some people with oily skin feel that they should avoid using a moisturizer. However, you should never try to dehydrate oily skin, as that will just cause the sebaceous glands to overcompensate and produce even more oil. Instead, go for a lightweight, mattifying moisturizer that will hydrate the skin while reducing excess oil at the same time.

Which skin type benefits from exfoliating?

Answer: Unless you suffer from a chronic-inflammatory skin disease, gentle exfoliation should always be a part of your weekly skincare routine. This will get rid of dead skin cells, improve skin texture and make it easier for the skin to absorb the products that follow. Depending on your skin type, there are different kinds of peels or scrubs you could use. Make sure to read our exfoliation guide to learn more about chemical, mechanical and enzymatic exfoliators and which one suits you best.

What if I have characteristics of several different skin types?

Answer: In fact, it is not uncommon to have a combination of different skin types. It is also normal for your skin to change throughout the year, due to external influences (seasonal factors, indoor heating) as well as genetic or hormonal factors. Tip: Lightweight formulas are perfect for summer, whereas lipid-rich formulations are best for the colder months. You could also combine serums, face masks and moisturizers from different product lines to meet all of your skin’s specific needs.
