Fruit acids

Alpha hydroxy acids or AHAs are natural acids derived from many different plants and especially fruits. They include malic acid, citric acid, glycolic acid, lactic acid and tartaric acid. Along with glucose, those acids are responsible for the taste of fruits.

The effectiveness of AHA skincare products may vary considerably, depending on the kind of AHA, the concentration of AHAs and especially the product‘s pH. From very gentle products for daily use to intensive treatment regimens against acne scars, pigmentation spots or wrinkles – AHAs are true multi-talents with various different applications.
