AHA Fruit Acid Facial Peel

AHA Peeling – Gentle at-home product

This light gel texture with a blend of mild AHAs removes dead skin cells, refines the complexion and leaves the skin feeling smooth and soft. Thanks to an exquisite selection of AHAs, it is able to stimulate collagen production and maintain the skin’s acid mantle. Besides its exfoliating properties, the AHA peel also balances the skin’s moisture levels and offers lasting moisturizing benefits. It can be used to treat blemishes, blackheads, pimples and clogged pores as well as acne scars, pigmentation spots, couperose and wrinkles – a true all-rounder for a flawless complexion and clarified, rejuvenated skin.

For a glowing and refined complexion, apply the AHA peel once a week and leave it on the skin for 3 up to a maximum of 20 minutes, depending on how sensitive your skin is. Then rinse off completely with lukewarm water. If the AHA peel is used regularly, you should give your skin additional protection with the SUN CARE UV-Protection Cream UVA/UVB SPF 50+. Use on intact skin only and avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes.

To intensify the effect, the AHA peel can be used for an intensive series of treatments. Use the AHA peel 2-3 times a week over a period of 4 weeks.

Ahas
Alpha hydroxy acids or AHAs are natural acids derived from many different plants and especially fruits. They include malic acid, citric acid, glycolic acid, lactic acid and tartaric acid. Along with glucose, those acids are responsible for the taste of fruits.
Tartaric Acid
Tartaric acid is widespread in nature. It occurs in vines, grapes and wine leaves, but also dandelions, sugar beets and many fruits. In the18th century it was first isolated from grapes. Since the middle of the 20th century, it can be generated from the residue left after the production of wine, with the help of sulfuric acid.
